East Coast Hydraulics’ customers, especially those in the marine sector move around and can find themselves out of their home province. The Coast Guard and other private sector companies in the marine industry can have refits be conducted in shipyards away from NL.
The CCGS Terry Fox is during a two-year refit in St. Catherine’s and East Coast Hydraulics was awarded the contract to oversee the work scope for the Jacobs Marine Crane JM 1908 for which East Coast Hydraulics is the Field Service Representative (FSR) for this line of cranes.
Having build our business initially through the marine and ocean-going industry we are more than able to pack up and head to the mainland to provide our services. Having worked closely with Jacobs Marine Cranes on this crane, and others, we are fully versed in the requirements of a annual or five year inspection and refit of the cranes. Jacob Marine Cranes are built to specification provided by the customer, they aren’t off the shelf, so East Coast Hydraulics plays an important role in the design and fabrication of the crane from the first to last stages. Our Technicians are trained on the products and have helped create the checklists of work to be conducted during these maintenance periods, no matter where they take place.
